Hugo is a little starfish with a big heart.  Follow Hugo on his adventures as he learns that going through life with the right attitude is what's important.  Hugo books are all centered around how to build character.  These books teach very valuable life lessons.

~My Review~
I need to start off this review by saying that my family loves to read.  I think my 5 year old loves reading books more than anything.  Hugo The Happy Starfish, is such a great series of books.  The Secret to Happiness really made my daughter and I smile, and although she had some questions about the story, I could tell that she really took away what the book explained about being happy.

Not only is Hugo The Happy Starfish~The Secret to Happiness a good read for kids, it could definitely teach adults a thing or two about happiness as well.  The story is very well written, and the illustration is so vibrant that children can't help but to pay attention.  This book is an absolute must read for anyone with children who need to learn how to "really" be happy, and how not to look for happiness in the wrong places.

 According to Author: Suzy Liebermann
"Believing that happiness can be learned, feelings can be understood and that building character based on a positive attitude leads to happy, content, self-confident and successful human beings, I have created this exciting series of charming books about HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH.

The series of books on character education aims to help educate children about their feelings, their attitude, their choices and the consequences that follow and includes an introduction to the Spanish language, lessons of character, ecological alertness and life skills—all amid a backdrop of a colourful island and mystical underwater world."

I fully stand behind Suzy and all that she is trying to teach our children using the Hugo books.  These books also focus on character education as a part of the pyp program and the IB (International Baccaluareate) program which focuses on higher education for students aged 3-19.

Now that's a book and an Author that I can stand behind.
